Return to the Table of Contents Historical NoteThe Ad Hoc Committee on the Skinner Museum was formed to discuss possible uses for the Skinner Museum collections in Mount Holyoke courses. In 1977, Mount Holyoke received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to hire three consultants to prepare reports on productive uses of the Museum. A three year long plan was developed by the Committee to incorporate use of the Museum into college curriculum. Information on the Museum's collections, possible uses for them, the Winter Term course taught in the Museum, a listing of publications citing objects in the Museum, the physical condition of the Museum buildings, and some financial statements are included.
