Return to the Table of Contents Historical NoteHigher Horizons was formed by the Board of Education for New York City. In collaboration with Mount Holyoke College, a group of Higher Horizons underprivileged girls were brought from New York to visit the College for one weekend. Many of these girls then applied to Mount Holyoke, and some received scholarships.
