Return to the Table of Contents Historical NoteThe Writing Center was founded in 1982 after a committee on literacy recognized the need to assist incoming and current students with the development of writing skills. There are also annual reports from 1989-1991, which include information on the numbers of students using the center, student workers, and programs conducted in conjunction with the English Department.
