Biographical NoteElizabeth Antonia Kormos was born on September 9, 1951 in Providence, Rhode Island, to Kalman Kormos, a mechanical engineer, and Antonia Rosa Olivia von Csipkay. She graduated from Scituate Junior-Senior High school in Scituate, Rhode Island in 1969. She attended Mount Holyoke College from 1969-1973 and majored in biological sciences. She received her M.S. and M.B.A. from Northeastern University. Kormos has served as an Assistant Vice President of Baylor Health Care Systems Marketing in Dallas, Texas and as a Vice President of Iroquois Healthcare Consortium in Albany, New York. Kormos Films, spanning the years 1968-1973, consist of three films taken by Kormos and others, documenting her college years. The events filmed include activities surrounding her arrival at Mount Holyoke College in 1969, her first day on-campus, various campus activities such as Fathers Weekend 1972 and 1973, and her graduation in May 1973. Of note is the footage of Mount Holyoke College students participating in the nationwide student strike protesting the United States involvement in Vietnamese Conflict, May 1970. There is also some footage of campus views, horse shows, a science class field trip, a birthday party on the terrace in Ham Hall, as well as numerous buildings on campus. The footage was most probably filmed by Kormos or her father. The films collection includes the original 35mm reels, as well as DVD surrogates.
