545 |aAnn Credidio, BVM, is the founder of Damien House and its related charities. Damien House is an organization dedicated to the care of patients with Hansens Disease in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In the late 1980s, Sr. Ann volunteered to teach and care for patients of the leprosy wing of a Guayaquil hospital. Realizing the many needs of these patients, she formed Damien House in the 1990s as both a distinct segment of the hospital and as a charitable foundation based in Chicago, Illinois.
