545 |aBorn July 26, 1937. Educator; Feminist activist; Co-founder and Director of the Chicago Catholic Women; Co-founder of the Women-Church Convergence; Member, Dominican Order. Born on July 26, 1937 Sr. Donna Quinn, O.P. was the middle child of Catherine and William Quinn. A resident of the south side of Chicago, she attended Visitation High School, conducted by the religious order of Sinsinawa Dominicans. In 1955, following graduation she entered this order, pronouncing her final vows in 1960. In the same year that she received her B.A. degree in Education and History from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. She continued her formal education earning a M.A. degree in History from the University of Illinois at Champaign in 1970 and a second M.A. degree in Administration from the University of Wisconsin in 1974. At the same time, she founded and served as the Director of Chicago Catholic Women until its dissolution in 2000. 1983, Quinn was instrumental in founding Women-Church Convergence - a Coalition of 30 national groups.
