Return to the Table of Contents Flora Virginia Milner Livingston was the wife of Luther Samuel Livingston (1864-1914), the first librarian of the Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Collection in the Harvard College Library. He was also a bookseller and bibliographer, worked for Dodd, Mead & Company, and was a partner in Dodd and Livingston. Flora Livingston became assistant librarian of the Widener Collection after her husband's death in 1914; then librarian in 1926. Rudyard Kipling, Henry James, and John Gay were some of her many scholarly interests.
