Flora Virginia Milner Livingston was the wife of Luther Samuel Livingston (1864-1914), the first librarian of the Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Collection in the Harvard College Library. He was also a bookseller and bibliographer, worked for Dodd, Mead & Company, and was a partner in Dodd and Livingston. Flora Livingston became assistant librarian of the Widener Collection after her husband's death in 1914; then librarian in 1926. Rudyard Kipling, Henry James, and John Gay were some of her many scholarly interests.

Primarily drafts of compositions and correspondence concerning proposed publications by Flora Virginia Milner Livingston. Also includes clippings and notes. Topics concern Henry James, Rudyard Kipling, and John Gay. Correspondents include Henry James III, Le Roy Phillips, and others.

Also with two printed volumes of bibliographies of Henry James by Le Roy Phillips, annotated by Flora V. Livingston: A bibliography of the writings of Henry James. Coward : McCann (1930) and Houghton, Mifflin and Company (1906). One volume includes a tipped-in 1904 autograph manuscript letter from Henry James to Le Roy Phillips.
